The photographer has been acquainted with the “Bonjour Outdoor Casual Club” for a year and a half. In 2018 winter, he was invited to participate in the 18th National Annual Camping Meeting of the Taiwan Land Rover Club(TLRC), immersing myself as a photography volunteer into this mysterious Land Rover family.
The venue of the annual meeting featured an exhilarating off-road track. Upon entering, he focused on capturing the vehicles passing through the artillery pit section, a stage where off-road enthusiasts showcase their skills. The struggle of vehicles in the challenging off-road mud pits became the most captivating scene. The joyous activities of the rescue winch team in the muddy terrain, along with the uphill challenge of the fully developed OFF-ROAD course, were moments he couldn’t afford to miss through my camera lens. Of course, the highlight was the mud bath experience, the hard work of the support team, and the lively atmosphere of the entire event venue.
During the Land Rover 70th-anniversary celebration, the ” #Garage139 ” specially displayed the oldest and newest, most iconic Series One models, becoming the most eye-catching focal points at the venue. Series 3 tour vehicles, serviced by seasoned veterans, joyfully roamed every corner of the event.
The Kagoshima Wilderness Meeting elevated the event to a new level, offering off-road academies and experiential classrooms, allowing participants to learn how to navigate challenging terrains. As a photography volunteer, he aimed to capture the passion and challenges of this unique event through my lens, hoping to present the distinctive allure of Land Rover to the audience and, at the same time, capture and document this enthusiastic moment.
